Message I've been talking to some folks, reading everything I can, and haven't been able to make any headway with the lack luster performance of my Z at the races. However, I was going through all my paperwork from the rebuild and I found something!!

When I first bought this car many years ago I only had basic knowlege about cars like changing belts and simple stuff like that. In the many years of owning a Z and a few other cars that needed more work then I could afford I have learned a TON. I am now pretty confident doing anything short of headwork, timing, or anything more involved then that. I am learning, as I have found its much cheaper that way hah. Anyway, to the point I know what the I'm talking about at least even if I cant do all the work myself yet.

So I was reading over my rebuild from my dumber days and a lot of attention has been brought to the "welding" of my cam gears during the rebuild and the effect on the car. Sure enough pretty plain as day it says right here:

No VTC. *sigh* Well looks like I know at least the source of part of my performance issues.

Quick question.. If I run stock cams, JWT valve springs, and some brand of adjustable cam gear will I regain the use of VTC and will it all mesh together happily? Cash is tight and I need to save where I can when I can for the real big stuff.
